practices necessary to support oil and gas operations which enhance competition. The meeting will be

paid to suppliers or charged to customers, endorse or disparage vendors or goods or services, divide
markets, or discuss with whom we will do business, nor other specific commercial terms, because these
are matters for each company or individual to independently evaluate and determine.”

Speaker Bio – Tom Wierman became COPAS’s 8th Executive Director on March 1, 2012, after nearly 30 years as an E&P accountant in Wichita, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Calgary.
He served as president and board member for the Kansas and Canada societies; chaired the COPAS Tax Committee; was a COPAS board member for six years; and president in 2009. He contributed significantly to the 50th Anniversary in 2011, passed the APA® exam in 2022, and earned the Eagle Award (2013) and Ring of Honor (2021).
Married to Paula, he has three children: Chris, Molly, and Justin.
Active in church, he directs a choir, serves on advisory boards, participated in school boosters and Habitat for Humanity, and served two terms as Wichita Swim Club president. He enjoys DIY projects, coaching and playing tennis, and weightlifting, especially since retiring from soccer officiating.
Fun fact: His wife gave him a T-shirt saying, “Stop Me…I think I’m going to volunteer again.” He still can’t say no.
